Challenge: Modernize Maredy Candy Company’s entire Internet presence and increase customer and search engine visibility.
Solution: We started by creating two web sites, one for each of the two facets of Maredy’s business. We gave them both a sophisticated new look that featured much more information for the customer: access to view every item in Maredy’s product line, more information about fundraising with Maredy, more information about fundraising in general, and an FAQ page. We added intuitive and easy to use navigation to all this information so that customers can get to what they are looking for with a minimum of clicks. Behind the scenes, we improved site architecture to increase Maredy’s visibility on the search engines. In addition to improved site architecture to increase Maredy’s visibility on the search engines, we wrote plenty of rich content for the web site and launched an aggressive pay-per-click advertising campaign. With the database we developed, it will be effortless for Maredy to update the product line for new seasonal catalogs (four per year) on the Catalog Sales site and the product line for the Candy Case Sales site. We included e-commerce for Maredy’s Candy Case Sales site, to make it easier for customers to buy the fundraising products they desire for direct sales. The result is two twenty-first century web sites with rich content, easy navigation, increased customer and search engine visibility, and e-commerce.
